Children's MinistryOur Children's Ministry is dedicated to teaching children of all ages the Word of God.
The children are dismissed for children's church right after the worship time during the 11:00 A.M service. We have two main groups (KG-5th Grade) and (6th-8th Grades). We use the exciting and innovative curriculum provided by the Orange ministries (http://whatisorange.org/) for our children's church. The KG - 5th Grade children are further broken down into three smaller groups (KG-1st Grade, 2nd-3rd Grades, 4th-5th Grades) for their teaching sessions. They use the 252 Basics and the older kids (6th-8th Grades) use the XP3 students curriculum. Boys & Girls Missionary Challenge (BGMC) is the Assemblies of God missions program for boys and girls. The first and most important goal of BGMC at Metuchen Assembly of God is to instill in the children a spirit of giving and compassion for the lost and needy children in our world. The money raised through BGMC is used to provide our missionaries in America and around the world with the supplies they need in order to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. Link to BGMC website The Nursery is a vital ministry in our church. The nursery/toddler staff allows parents to fully enjoy the service without worrying about their children. We teach children at an early age the love of God. We also create a safe, pleasant and sanitary environment for infants and toddlers who have been entrusted in our care. |
