Pastor Ken grew up in Mountainside, NJ. He graduated from Princeton University in 1978 with a BA in biology. Ken is married to Louise, a mostly retired high school science teacher. They met in high school. They have three children: Timothy, a married software developer in Pennsylvania; Andrew, studying for a masters in Oxford; and Christina, working with a publisher in New York City. Ken and Louise are the happy grandparents of four grandchildren.
Ken started Monmouth Worship Center in 1985 and led it for 38 years before retiring in 2024. He led the church through much growth and three building programs. Ken previously worked for seven years as a campus minister and assistant pastor at Nassau Christian Center in Princeton, NJ.
Ken also served as a Sectional Presbyter with the NJ Assemblies of God for roughly 25 years, the longest Presbyter service ever in the district. During this time his section grew greatly and started many new churches. His favorite hobbies are reading, travel, mineral collecting, and gardening. Ken is now also the Chairman of the Christian Union ministry alumni board at Princeton University.
MR. THOMAS TOOLAN - FINANCE/HR MANAGER
Mr. Tom Toolan joined our church staff in April 2024 as our Finance/HR Manager. He has 30 years’ experience working in the Diocese of Metuchen, where he oversaw many various financial departments, including private schools.
REV. Karen Scott - Church Secretary
Rev. Karen Scott has been the Church Secretary at Metuchen Assembly of God since 2004. She assists the Pastors and the Church Staff in all aspects of secretarial/administrative support. Rev. Karen became a member in August 2017. Her prayer is that every person she meets in person or over the phone would sense the love of our Lord and Savior, JESUS CHRIST.
